Coffey & Nichols’ practice is limited to representing the
victims of ordinary and professional negligence and product defect. The origins of the firm, established in 1996, came out of a dissatisfaction with bigger firms where paralegals do most of the work. Coffey & Nichols limits the number of cases it takes so that the cases can be handled primarily by the attorneys. Attorney Mary Coffey has been a trial lawyer on behalf
of injured people since 1983. In 1999 she was certified by the
National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Civil Trial Advocate, based
on a demonstration of competency and experience. Attorney Genevieve
Nichols joined the firm in 2001 and has had been honored for her great success as a
young trial lawyer. Kathy Eckhard is the firm’s
office manager, and Shannon Kreader, a former client, is our legal
assistant. The office is
located in an historic building in the Clifton Park neighborhood
of St. Louis City and accepts a limited number of cases.
